CO7 Technologies acquires LineWatch

This acquisition further strengthens CO7 Technologies’ leading position by adding intelligent line sensors and grid analytics solutions for utility power distribution, renewable and smart grids all around the world.

Montreal, Québec – January 3rd, 2024 – CO7 Technologies (CO7), announced that it has acquired the assets and intellectual properties of LineWatchTM electric power distribution grid sensing and monitoring system from QinetiQ. This strategic move solidifies CO7's commitment to expand its portfolio with innovative monitoring and sensing technologies.


LineWatch senses and monitors low and medium voltage power lines to provide utilities with highly accurate data that enables a full range of applications to improve distribution grid operations and efficiency including, legacy substation monitoring, asset management, distribution automation, fault detection and location, Volt/VAR optimization (VVO), Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR), theft detection and more.
