SURGE ARRESTERS

Reliable protection solutions in all conditions

SHIELD7

At CO7 Technologies, we take great pride in designing and manufacturing high-performance power protection solutions for the North American market. For over 25 years, our team in Montreal, QC, has developed a comprehensive lineup of rugged, reliable equipment built to withstand the continent's diverse weather conditions, from tropical heat to arctic cold.

Our flagship surge arrester, the Shield7, is a polymer-housed, gapless metal-oxide surge arrester that offers exceptional performance and reliability. Engineered to the latest ANSI and CSA standards, the Shield7 features a range of advanced design elements that set it apart.

Features & Benefits

  • Optimized Electrical Characteristics: Features high discharge current and thermal charge transfer ratings, making it an ideal choice for protecting distribution systems and equipment against overvoltages.

  • Robust, Weatherproof Construction: Ensures reliable operation even in the harshest environments.

  • Customizable Design: Can be tailored with a variety of accessories to meet specific customer needs, such as NO/US connection hardware, S3D2 disconnecting devices, and mechanical or electronic fault indicators.

  • Proven Reliability: Engineered for exceptional performance and trusted by utilities and industrial installations across North America.

  • Seamless Integration: Highly flexible and customizable design for easy integration with existing infrastructure and operational needs.

Applications

The Shield7 surge arrester is designed to protect distribution systems and equipment against overvoltages, improving power quality, reducing outage costs, and extending the lifetime of protected equipment.
