Built to withstand the rigors of the most demanding environments, the VOX7 is one of the most reliable outdoor breakers on the market with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.

The VOX7 is the SF6-Free version of the well renowned VOX breaker already used all around the world for more than 20 years. It shares the same technical specifications and same form factor than the original VOX, but now with Dry-Air.

If the name sounds familiar, that's because the VOX has been commercialized for more than two decades by Areva and Schneider Electric. CO7 Technologies acquired the intellectual properties and assets with the intent of focusing our efforts on developing and expanding the VOX family. Designed and built in our state-of-the-art facility in Montreal, the VOX7 combines the best new and proven technology for outdoor distribution applications up to 38 kV, and it is now SF6-free.

CO7 Technologies utilizes the latest range of vacuum interrupters housed in a fully welded, sealed-for-life, stainless steel tank, creating a controlled gas-insulated environment that is completely immune to external ambient conditions. The circuit breaker operation is done by a spring-charged mechanism, allowing for manual or motorized operation.

VOX combines the best new and proven technology for outdoor distribution applications up to 38 kV, and has been designed and tested to meet the requirements of the relevant applicable IEC, BS, AS, ANSI, IEEE, GOST and GB standards.

RELIABILITY

The fully welded, no gasket, seal-for-life stainless steel tank provides a controlled environment totally immune from external ambient conditions

Build for the most demanding environment, thanks to the stainless-steel tank, the aluminum control cabinet and the custom-designed EPDM bushing
Internal arc tested in compliance with IEC 62271-200 featuring accessibility class A. Test has been performed with low voltage door in open and close position to ensure maximum operator protection covering the requirement of type 2B as per IEEE C37.20.7
Polymer bushing with creepage distance of more than 31.5mm/kV
Build with proven, highly reliable vacuum interrupter assemblies mounted inside the Dry-Air filled tank
The proven spring-loaded mechanism fully accessible from the low voltage compartment

INSTALATION & MAINTENANCE

The compact, lightweight design of the VOX makes it easy to transport, handle and install.

The separate support frame can be pre-installed to accept the breaker tank and the control cabinet. Height can be adjusted within a range of 27 inches (675 mm).
