Application specialist
Being a growing company, we are looking for an Application Specialist at our Lachine or Sherbrooke offices.
The Application specialist will support the sales team regarding technical aspects of the sale and create proposals integrating our products to meet customer needs.
The challenges
Reviews customer project documentation including specification, data sheets and drawings to gain a complete understanding of the project’s requirement from a technical and commercial perspective.
Develops detailed and comprehensive proposals that accurately depict a proper understanding of the project’s requirements while also complying with customer specifications, industry standards, and applicable local codes.
Provides suitable comments and or exceptions necessary to convey a clear message to our customers regarding CO7’s compliance with the requirements of the project.
Creates Basis of Estimate and Basis of Schedule documents to accompany the estimate.
Acquires and provides technical leadership to supporting departments such as sales and other stakeholders.
Works with engineering teams to facilitate the use of estimating tools and processes to produce accurate, reputable proposals.
Skills and abilities
Familiarity with Metal Building Systems and Electrical Switchgear is preferred.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in an Electrical or mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.
Excellent communication skills in French (oral and written); fluency in English is considered an asset.
3-5 years of experience in an Estimating is considered an asset.
Experience with vendors and components for common commercial/industrial power distribution, LV & MV breakers, MV switches, protection and control, and IT transformers.
Previous experience with AutoCAD, E-Plan and advance Office is preferred.
