Under the supervision of the team leader, the assembler plays an important role in the manufacture of specialized mechanical and electrical parts used in the manufacture of switchgear.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Understand and use drawings and diagrams that illustrate the steps involved in assembling products.
Rigorously verify the quality of the parts to be used for assembly and adjust when necessary.
Identify any non-conforming parts or breakages and record the information in the quality system.
Assemble and adjust parts as required.
Operate the various tools and equipment used to assemble parts.
Perform service and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Participate in the creation of manufacturing procedures based on new products to be manufactured.
DEP or DEC – Electromechanics, or any related training
2 years of professional experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics/plans
Experience in conventional machining (milling machine, conventional lathe, mechanical adjustment, and assembly)
Good judgment, proactive and results-oriented attitude
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities
Autonomous, rigorous and has a strong team spirit
Fluency in French and good English
